Philly Socialists

Mutual Aid

PHILLY SOCIALISTS is a political organization committed to creating a just and sustainable future for ourselves and our planet. We are dedicated to building the base for socialist politics through projects that serve the people and fight the power: the Cesar Andreu Iglesias Community Garden, Philly Workers for Dignity, and free English classes—just to name a few. These were built not by a few wealthy donors, but through the collective efforts and financial contributions of our members.

COVID-19 (coronavirus) has demonstrated that millions of working class people are the ones who keep our society running: we get food to people’s plates, pick up everyone’s trash, treat people for illness and disease, care for children. The people ARE the power, and it’s time to prove it.

Philly Socialists has been working in a multitude of ways to combat the painful effects of COVID-19 on our community.

Philly Socialists has made grocery deliveries to hundreds of families throughout Philadelphia. We are prioritizing those most vulnerable and affected by COVID-19: the sick, disabled, quarantined without pay, those limited in work, undocumented, queer, Black, Indigenous, and people of color. If you would like to make a request, you can do so here or see Apply link.

Donate here or at the Donate link.

For those bored in quarantine…join the Mutual Aid support team! We’re looking for deliverers with a bike or car, as well as organizers and dispatchers. A lot of the work can be done at home with an internet-enabled computer or smart phone.
